Carole Brown
Vice President of Instruction and Student Success
As VP of Instruction and Student Success at San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC), Carole Brown focuses on higher education provision for the ideal outcome of student achievement, which includes faculty development, student success, curriculum development, and compliance policies and procedures.
She was instrumental in the introduction of several new certificate and degree-granting programs, as well as SJVC's first bachelor’s degree program in Respiratory Therapy. She has supported professional development and conference leadership at local, state and national levels.
Carole is an Advisory Board member for College of the Sequoias Extended Opportunity Programs and Services and is a member of the American Counselors Association and BULA Ministries Board member. She also serves as Board Chair for San Joaquin Valley College’s Library and Learning Resources Center and Secretary for SJVC’s Board of Governors.
Carole earned her Master of Education degree and Pupil Personnel Services credential from California State University, Fresno and a Bachelor of Arts degree and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Chico.
